The Esoteric Sciences maybe equally
attributed to the twelve categories above and given the respective aspects
noted. The characteristic qualities which are promoted within these worldly
studies are applicable to the student of spiritual science just so. We may
review them in relation to the occult perspective:
Philosophy in
Occultism is as practical as it is profound. The proper study of such
promotes objectivity, fair-mindedness and the ability to reason well, both
imaginatively and plainly. It requires an individual who has the suppleness
within his etheric makeover to take on the concepts which would ordinarily
become ‘frozen out’ with intellectual forces (crystalline forces) within the
usual thinking.
The position of the philosophical
thinker predisposes him to having an ‘open mind’ insofar as his time for
consideration, and also the ability to begin at the presumption of ignorance in
a particular matter. He does not do the thinking to necessarily arrive at a
hardened truth, admitting that indeed there might not be one to know at this
point (yet independently evident regardless); however, he is prepared to
explore new thought and watch the manoeuvres, enjoying its grace and admiring
its beauty.
Madness is philosophy which has nowhere to go within the man. Philosophy in its highest condition becomes enlightened reason.

Mathematical Occult Study &
Application as an observation of space and continuum, of form and its
sequential compulsions, explains to the student the nature of order and of its
prevalence within any sphere or region.
A
respect and understanding for order (and therefore for the higher laws which
permeate all structure also) brings us to a heightened sense of not only
accuracy, but of beauty.
Formulations
may be interpreted in differing modes of expression and yet translate into
beauteous bodies belonging to being. The metamorphosis which is gradience,
speaks to the soul of its own continuing saga, and reassures the thinking that
there is completion and perfection to be found amongst all being everywhere.
When
folk decry perfection or beauty in existence, it is because of a lacking in
mathematical conception in the esoteric comprehension. When developed fully in
the student, Mathematics becomes self-discipline, it works into the forces of
the will and conveys itself further on, being enlivened by the supportive
nature and subsistence which all cosmic laws uphold and maintain. It gives over
to a sense of both correctness, and of majesty within all manifestation.
