Exercise 1
 

The Very Long Story

Tools required:

• 1 roll of strong toilet paper

• A pen or marker

Taking the paper on the first day, write on the little square (within the square) a sentence. This will be the first sentence to your story. The story may be about anything, however for this exercise do not attempt to record a story which you already know the plot or the ending. This is a story which shall be ‘made up’ or revealed, day by day, as you go along.

Every day add one more sentence to one more sheet and proceed with the patience and commitment it requires. Follow it through until the end of the roll.
